Jack Farley, Web Application Engineer

MoltenDB is a project that I am working on to create a web-based Microsoft Access-like application. Having always had lots of ideas for information I wanted to store in a database, but never any time to create the databases, I wanted to create a Web application that can be quickly set up to store information in with little or no programming.

What got me starting to write it was the need for a management database for my rescue team.

The first version I started developing was written using PHP and MySQL. Unfortunately, time constraints meant that development was put on hold. Recently, I have started looking at rewriting the project using Nodejs and MongoDB to both enhance the functionality and to get around issues such as code duplication and complex database relationships.
